Ring of the Seven Deadly Sins

Once, this ring served as the seal on a verdict passed upon a king who fell to his own vices. Seven crystals are forged into its setting, each containing the imprint of one of the king’s deadly sins, eagerly responding to even the slightest sign of that sin within the wearer’s soul. The brighter the crystals burn, the stronger the wearer’s body and will become — but the cost grows as well: good fortune turns to loss, victories to grievous wounds, and salvation to a debt to be paid to the grave. Those who keep the ring too long say that, with time, it ceases to obey its master — and that it is the wearer’s own weaknesses that choose who will inherit the power of the sins next.
